You have been asking a lot of questions lately about divorce. You have a lot of friends in your life who have parents who are divorced, so you have really wanted to know what the Bible says about this. We read this just the other day with you. You went on to tell someone else what God says about marriage. You told them that God joined them together and they are no longer two bodies but one. Yes, as usual, you were listening...taking it all in.
Matthew 19:4-6
The Message (MSG)
4-6He answered, "Haven't you read
in your Bible that the Creator originally made man and woman for each other,
male and female? And because of this, a man leaves father and mother and is
firmly bonded to his wife, becoming one flesh—no longer two bodies but one.
Because God created this organic union of the two sexes, no one should desecrate
his art by cutting them apart."
